Founded in 2019, the Black Travel Summit is a year-round event experience celebrating Black travel industry professionals and travelers, with an emphasis on the Millennial and Gen Z audience. Entrepreneurs, influencers, bloggers, companies and more come together in webinars, mini-summits, and a multi-day annual summit and celebration of the African Diaspora with discussions of our experiences while traveling and future in travel, celebrations of our achievements through an awards gala, and an environment fostering collaborations with businesses within and outside of the travel industry, with a focus on uplifting Black-owned organizations.
It is our mission to support, expand and enhance the voice of Black travel industry professionals, travelers and influencers. We pursue this undertaking by creating entertaining and educational events, curating diverse experiences for travelers, and cultivating a professional ecosystem, thereby fostering opportunities for collaboration within and outside of the Black travel community. The Black Travel Summit is passionate about disseminating knowledge on destinations, cultures, trends, and travel products & services that are inclusive of people of color.
The Black Travel Summit is looking for a founder/operations manager with experience in the operations of an event or conference planning business. With diversity at the forefront, we need someone who can recruit sponsors, acquire grants, and implement other methods of fundraising on the basis of us being a key player in diversity in travel and tourism.

- Assist with managing operations of the business,
- Consult on growth strategy for business,
- Onboard ideal sponsors and partners,
- Source grants and assist with applications applicable to our line of work,
- Advise on and assist with implementation of alternative fundraising methods,
- Assist with growth strategy for Mighty Networks community membership platform, etc.
Starting pay at $15 per hour, but will grow with more funding.
